Playoff records

Every team starts the playoffs at 0-0. Only playoff games count here, including a Showdown that decides a split series; the regular-season record in the last column is what earned each seed. Teams level on record are ordered by trick plays, then point difference, as in the league's own table.

Team Seed W L Regular season
The Texas Tailgaters logo Texas Tailgaters 2 2 1 32-29 (.525)
The Savannah Bananas logo Savannah Bananas 1 2 1 36-25 (.590)
The Loco Beach Coconuts logo Loco Beach Coconuts 3 1 2 30-31 (.492)
The Party Animals logo Party Animals 4 1 2 30-31 (.492)

PF/PA = points (innings won) for and against in playoff games. Tricks = successful trick plays in playoff games.

How the four teams got here

The 61-game regular season ended on September 27 and the final table set the field: the top four by winning percentage, with the Texas Tailgaters already guaranteed a place as Banana Ball Open champions. The first seed plays the fourth and the second plays the third, all at Historic Grayson Stadium in Savannah.

Savannah Bananas vs Party Animals

Savannah Bananas finished the regular season 36-25 (.590) as the No. 1 seed; Party Animals finished 30-31 (.492) as the No. 4 seed. In 12 regular-season meetings, the teams split 6-6. In the playoffs: the Bananas beat Party Animals 2-1, winning the series-deciding Showdown after the teams split the first two games.

Texas Tailgaters vs Loco Beach Coconuts

Texas Tailgaters finished the regular season 32-29 (.525) as the No. 2 seed; Loco Beach Coconuts finished 30-31 (.492) as the No. 3 seed. In 12 regular-season meetings, the Coconuts won 7 and the Tailgaters won 5. In the playoffs: the Tailgaters beat Coconuts 2-1, winning the series-deciding Showdown after the teams split the first two games.

Reading the playoff standings

A Banana Ball game is decided on points, not runs: win an inning and you earn a point, and the team with more points wins the game. The series scores above count games won; the PF and PA columns count innings won and lost across a team's playoff games. When a series is split 1-1, a Showdown follows game two, and the league records it as a 1-0 game: one more game won and one more point for the winner. The full scoring rules, including how the ninth inning and the Showdown tiebreaker work, are in our scoring guide.

These numbers are separate from the regular-season table. Playoff wins and losses do not change a team's seeding record, and the standings page stays frozen at the final regular-season marks.

What comes next: the Banana Bowl

The playoffs end with a single championship game, the Banana Bowl, on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. The Savannah Bananas and Texas Tailgaters are the two finalists, with first pitch on Saturday, October 10 at 7:00 PM ET. The result will be added to this page when the game is final.

What happens when a Banana Ball playoff series is tied 1-1?

It goes to a Showdown straight after game two. The league scores that Showdown as a game of its own, 1-0 to the winner with no runs or trick plays, so the series finishes 2-1 and the Showdown counts in each team's playoff record and points.

What is the difference between the playoff standings and the regular-season standings?

The semifinal games on October 1–4 are at Historic Grayson Stadium in Savannah, Georgia. The championship game, the Banana Bowl, is Saturday, October 10 at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.

How is a Banana Ball playoff game decided?

The same way as any Banana Ball game: each inning is worth one point to the team that scores more runs in it, and the team with more points wins. That is why this page shows points for and against rather than runs.

How often are the playoff standings updated?

Results are imported from the league's stats feed after each game goes final, and this page is recomputed from those scoreboards on every refresh. A game still in progress does not count until it is final.
